I don’t even know how long it’s been since my last blog post ( I could look, easy enough, but… meh). I thought, minimally, I should let ya’ll know what I’ve been up to that hasn’t been making blog posts.
If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter or “the ‘Gram,” you’d be aware that I’ve recently moved. My girlfriend and I have become official “Detroiters.” We bought a big ol’ house in the Bagley neighborhood. We call it our castle and it has more than one gargoyle. Her son lives with us (most of the time) and we are now the blended, Brady Bunch of pet families. There are three dogs and three cats in here with us and it’s a damn zoo. But we love it.
We moved in the middle of July and we’re definitely still in the settling in and organizing stage but are pretty well along. Obviously, that’s kept me busy.
I’ve also been buys with my summer activities, which include softball and LOTS of golf. I’m an addict, for sure. And the band has been off and on with practices (currently “on”) so that we might manage a show in the near future.
My new book, American Ghost Stories: True Tales from All 50 States, will be released in a couple of weeks and I’ve been working on getting early copies to reviewers and setting up some interviews (which is really cool). I’m shopping the novel that I finished last year and I’ve started another that feels pretty good, so far.
I imagine I’ll be a little more active here, over the next few months. Things in the personal life are settling into whatever the new normal is and with the book out on the 19th, I’m hoping for a busy Fall. Plus, Spooky season is upon us!!
Anyway, that’s a quick update. I’ll try to be better about getting posts out and whatnot but, if I were you, I wouldn’t put money on it.
As always, thank you for the support. Watch this space for book release news. Love you, my bitches!
